Marcel is a Marriage and Family Therapist with a master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University. He has one year specialized training in Gestalt therapy. He is anclinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

Marcel believes that each client is the expert of his/her own life. Therefore, his approach is to work collaboratively with each client to explore the underlying roots of the individual issues being experienced, in order to equip the client with tools that will aide in getting freedom from the yoke of the burden.  This may be accomplished through the   exploration of family origin, patterns of repetitive attachment and fears, or thoughts and ideas that have become ingrained in the client’s approach and outlook in dealing with the world.

The aim of therapy is to help the client understand both the benefits and the cost of change, in order to make better informed decisions and take more purposeful actions. This will ultimately benefit both the individual and the overall family, by allowing them to experience freedom from pain through resolution of the underlying issues, so that they can experience and enjoy a meaningful life filled with purpose.
